I also survived my first race. I had a blast and look forward to the next race.
My 525 EXC may not make it back into dirt form this year!
I think I had the only bike there with an electric start! Right now, however, the bike is not the limiting factor, I am.
Eric and the rest of the SMUSA crew did a great job. I have raced in many leagues and disciplines over the years and have had my share of poorly run programs.
I ran in the Vet and Novice classes back to back, and by the last few laps of the Vet race I was beat, but I was having a blast.
Does anyone remember the new BeaveRun dates Eric mentioned?

i think eric said new dates aug 20 and the frist weekend in sept. dirt wasn't to bad you didn't have to jump anything . i have a c level mx backgoundand loved it . tabletop was sweet. i could double the frist 2 whoops and just kinda wheelied over the next 2. lots of fun. who's racing nasmoto in clevland aug 6-7 ? it's really cool for eric to adjust the race dates so everyone can support nasmoto as well. keep up the good work eric. jc

Photos anyone? I would love to see what the track looks like?

Jolly,
Check out... http://www.beaverunkarting.com/
click on the photos section. The pics there are not the best, nor are they very recent. But, the wide angle shot on the top of the page is the best depiction. Track ran counter clock wise, dirt section is out of the shot on the left side. If you pick up the track in the lower left corner, follow it into the infield and back out onto the straight on the lower right side and then down the front straight on the top of the page.
Great track and facility, bathrooms in new clubhouse, showers, and a nice big pit area.

Thanks for the link, the track looks real nice. I was told it is the best in the East. I am planning on making it out there for the August date.

Turn out was weak. It must have been the Pro races(AMA Superbike & Super-Moto) in Wis. that pulled so many riders away. This is my 3rd year and this was the smallest turn out I,ve seen. Too bad, cause BR is THE BEST track in the East.
Good News:
I won the Adult Mini class !
Bad News:
There was only one other guy racing ! :headshake :hmmm: :hammer:
