Well, took the plunge and finally got another bike. Had a Suzuki Katana 600 7 years ago... After taking the DRZ400SM for a spin last year I knew the next bike had to be a motard.

See my thread over in the Street Tards section for the low down.

Suffice to say, I'm sure I'll be asking a few questions here and there... This bike is so much fun I couldn't stop smiling all day...

I just wanna ride!

Congratulations from a distant country far far away on your new bike

Just bring the questions on. There are lots of knowledge around here

Good advise, I changed the oil every other ride, until I stopped seeing that "break in" metalic shimmer in the oil I drained out. Husaberg recomends using Motrex full synth right out of the box, which is a little controversial. I ran petro based for the first couple of hundred miles.

Well, I've done my first oil and filter change on the bike now. Also adjusted the steering stem bearings.

Oil change was easy, once I got all the stuff I needed together. I'm using 10w40 Amsoil in my bike as that was what the PO was using.

Seems to work fine. I have also received my stainless steel oil filter, so we'll see how that works out too. I was talking with my local KTM dealer and he said they run the stainless oil filters in all their dirtbikes, have done so for years with no issues. Since the KTM dealer here charges $15 Canadian for an oil filter, the stainless filter should be a good investment! :)

I am going to try and put a 2 week riding impression together sometime this weekend. A little more in depth than my first impressions post.

This bike is a helluva lot a fun though!

Congrats on your new ride.

This supermoto stuff is the crack!

Have the local police stopped you yet to ask about your bike?

Hehe... crack it is... I already want to spend money on the bike... and the bike itself is not even paid for yet!

So far been lucky, the police haven't bothered me. I have had a few looks, but other than that...

Tons of other people stop to chat though. The bike attracts people like bees to honey. It's one of the only supermoto's in town and with it being a Husaberg in bright yellow and blue and sounding like thunder well, you know the rest...

Tons O' Fun!

I'm working on the same thing, 5-11, 200#. Bike will steer under everything outn there but working on the straightline stuff, it nalso look like I'm going to have to go up a spring weight on the rear...
