Colored ano doesn't do it for me anywhere on a bike...Black wheels would :D
...and before any of you call me out on my rotor, it was $100 less than the exact same one with a grey carrier. See, I may have bad taste, but at least I'm cheap! :laughingr

Yes, the black berg is me.
I'm running a new tire combo. Maxxis Presa Rain tire in the front and a Maxxis Presa Slick in the rear. This combo seems to work well for the track and the city streets, shine or rain. Yes you can run slicks in the wet, up to a point. So far so good.

Its just wrong: Husabergs are made from cheese. with this new color scheme it would appear that they're made from stinky cheese.

Hey Brian, I have 16 & 40 on the bike I just got a 38 I want to try what are you runnin
brian

cool....I hear the key to success with the 6fiddies for the street is keep the rpm's down......that bike relies on its huge low end torque....me, I run 14/42, 46, 48
the 550 revs out like a 450 so thats why I have the gearing I do, my tranny is close ratio so it really pulls hard  ....don't forget its track only as well.....you need to post a pict of your charming lady friend on the big berg and post it on that other site for all the uptight guys.... :laughingr

I'm curious to hear if you can reach 6th gear with your chosen sprockets.
I'm currently running 16t/42t sprockets and rarely reach speeds suitable for 6th gear. With the very tall stock 16t/38t sprockets I could only use 6th gear above 80mph.
Many of the SM riders around here use a 46t rear sprocket. 42t or 44t seems to make more sense.

I am in sixth gear at 60mph and I allways going for another one thats why I got the 38 tooth, with the 40 tooth it comes up in fourth no problem at low rpms

add me on there to plz B
I am runnign 15 42 at the moment altho i just got a nice gold 40t for rear.
Should be better for street.
The black gives me such a boner :D
I have my bike in getting the stronger main bearings in at the moment after the head gasket blew on it last week.
Hopefully should be back soon. Just need to get the jetting dialed then Im getting some plastics sorted if I have enough money left over.
While the engine is out I want to paint the frame this week. I just can't decide on black or silver. The bike is standard 03 colours at the moment but I reckon I'll go for all black look. True darkside
I'll get some nice pro pics up when done :arsenal

Try Andy Euro motors he usaly has black plastic in stock,I just spoke to him about 06 plastics he was getting :headscrat what color u doin the frame
hello
i ride a husaberg fs650 2005
i was thinking about the same thing
coat the frame in silver or black en get some other colour of plastics
i can get every plastic piece in black
except the gastank?
is it true that it is only availeble in yellow?
that would be a disappointment :(

If you can find Husaberg black plastics you should jump on it. I was under the impression that the black plastics were difficult to find. Keep asking around about a black gas tank. The black tanks are rare but not impossible to find.
Not sure if it's worthwhile repainting the frame. The blue is a nice color but the black will help you trick folks into thinking you have an 06 bike.

that would be a disappointment :(If you want a "black" tank you have two choices. Buy the 00-05 tank in black or the new 06 tank in darkdarkdark blue. They are both a spare part just like everthing else. If you get the new tank you also need new shrouds, also available in black (or blue).
